Lanarkshire police launch missing person enquiry after man 'vanishes' from outside hospital

Police in Lanarkshire have launched an appeal for help in finding a man who vanished near to a hospital.

Adam Bergiel was last seen close to East Kilbride’s Hairmyres Hospital in the early hours of Monday morning (May 2).

Police say the 31-year-old Polish national was seen walking in the direction of Strathtay Avenue at around 1.45am, but has failed to make contact since.

Officers describe Adamd as being white, around 6ft 3in tall, of a slim build and has short brown hair.

He was last seen wearing a yellow hooded top, black bottoms and white Adidas trainers.

Anyone with any information should contact Police via 101.

Information can be left anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
