Lanarkshire police launch hunt for missing man as concern grows for his safety

Police Scotland say they are becoming 'increasingly concerned' for the safety of a man who was last seen in Rutherglen.

Stephen Galbraith was last seen on Stonelaw Road in the town at 2pm on Monday, August 29.

He is described as being 5ft 11in, with short brown hair and blue eyes.

Authorities say he was last seen wearing a red short-sleeved checked shirt, dark jeans and black work-style boots.

Officers are urging anyone who has seen James to get in contact and assist with their enquiries.

Inspector Karen McColl told Lanarkshire Live : “We are becoming increasingly concerned for the safety of Stephen and are urging anyone who may have seen him, or know where he is, to contact us.

"I would ask anyone with information that can help us to find Stephen to get in touch with us immediately.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101.

Information can be left anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
