Lanarkshire police ask for help in tracing missing 14-year-old girl

Police in Lanarkshire are asking for help in tracing a missing 14-year-old girl.

Rachael Lawrie was reported missing from the Dalkeith area, having last been seen on Monday (June 27).

The teenager is known to have links to both Lanark and Glasgow and was last seen boarding a bus.

A police source told Lanarkshire Live: “We are appealing for help in tracing Rachael who was last seen around 12.15pm on Monday boarding a number three Lothian Transport bus in Eskdaill Court in the town, which was going in the direction of Edinburgh.

“Rachael is described as being 5ft 5in tall, of medium build with long dark hair.”

When last seen, Rachel was wearing a white hooded top, black leggings, white Converse shoes and a black backpack.

Police Scotland say she may have changed clothes since that sighting.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101.

Information can be left anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
