A Lanarkshire park is appealing for volunteers to help get events back on track.
Cambuslang Park had to postpone all its planned events due to Covid, but they are now ready to get back to organising new ones.
The park currently has 10 volunteers and the team is looking to expand and is seeking people with a range of skills to volunteer.
Fiona Murray, secretary to Friends of Cambuslang Park, told Lanarkshire Live: “I think that during Covid, a lot of people used the park. Having it nearby is invaluable, just to be able to go outside and take a walk.
“We’re looking to get some volunteers involved. We have a lot of voluntary positions available. We’re after people of all ages and skills that can help with different events in the park.
“The more people we have, the more we can spread out the workload. There’s a place for everyone. We want to be able to do as much as possible. All of our events are free and always well received and attended. We get a lot of good feedback."
Fiona added: “We want everyone to be able to take part. With rising living costs, it's important that there are things nearby that don’t cost. It’s very important for mental health to be able to get out.
“We usually have a very busy event programme, but due to Covid we had to suspend items and we’re now at the stage where we’re looking to get the programme up and running again.”
