Lanarkshire opticians reveals investment in latest equipment for customers

A Lanarkshire opticians has revealed the level of investment it has made to improve facilities for customers.

The team at Specsavers Wishaw has invested more than £80,000 in the store over the past two years, improving the customer experience and increasing capacity for testing.

The improvements at the store, located on Wishaw Main Street, include refitting of test rooms with the latest equipment including two new OCT (optical coherence tomography) machines.

An OCT machine takes detailed scans of the back of the eye and helps detect eye conditions, including glaucoma, up to four years earlier than traditional methods.

Erin Riddell, store director at Specsavers in Wishaw, said: “By providing our clinicians with the tools to provide the best eye care we can, means our store will continue to grow and that we can develop the services we provide the people in our community.

“We hope this investment continues to highlight how committed we are to delivering the best possible service to our local community, helping to reduce pressures on local NHS services and providing Wishaw with vital health services.”
