Wind and percussion musicians are being sought in Lanarkshire for an exciting event next month.
The highly-reputable Wind Band Association are set to hold their annual 'Big Blow' concert for the first time in Scotland when they come to Hamilton on Saturday, May 7.
Those who play wind instruments or percussion are being urged to get involved for a fun day of music-making and exploring new and exciting repertoire under the musical direction of Kevin Lamb and conductors from some of the region's finest concert bands.
The event, usually held south of border, typically sees up to 50 musicians take to the stage, but there is a shortage for this year's show as locals are asked to get in touch to help.
It will be held in Whitehill Neighbourhood Centre on Hunter Road, Hamilton between 9.30am and 4.30pm on May 7.
The cost for the day will be £5 for Wind Band Association members and £10 for non-members, payable on the day or at time of application.
All coffee, tea and refreshments will be provided, but those attending are asked to bring their own lunch.
Music will also be provided by the Wind Band Association and Bandleader Publications Ltd.
And musicians are asked to bring their own music stand. Percussion instruments will be supplied.
