A marvellous mum with a 'heart of gold' has been thanked by her loving daughter.
Mum-of-five Margaret Thorburn lives in New Stevenston with her husband James and is devoted to her family, including her 15 grandchildren.
Margaret is indebted to her mum after she had to give up her job as a carer when she started taking epileptic seizures.
Since that time her mum has supported her throughout her daily life and helps her to look after her three children Thomas, Dylan and Jordan.
Margaret told Lanarkshire Live : “My mum has been my rock ever since I had to give up work over a year ago due to ill health.
“She has been there for me whenever I needed her and has supported me throughout all my health issues.
“She is so caring and considerate and I really don’t know what I would do without her.
"She takes me to appointments and she helps me around the house and helps me with everything that I need to do.”
And when Margaret told us about her wonderful mum, we were delighted to help out, surprising her with a beautiful floral arrangement, courtesy of our friends at Pixies Petals in Newmains.
Margaret said: “I think my mum will be over the moon to receive the flowers and will be quite shocked.
“My mum does everything for everybody else, but she never gets anything in return and I wanted her to know how appreciative I am for everything she does for me.”
