An Airdrie mum has pleaded for information in a bid to help trace her stolen phone, which contained the precious last voicemails from her beloved late dad.
Mandy McLellan was shopping at the Fort with her daughters on the afternoon of January 14 when the suspected theft took place.
Mandy thinks her iPhone 11 was stolen from her pocket while she was pushing her 29-year-old daughter in her wheelchair.
Despite tracing the phone to a block of flats in Easterhouse, she has not been able to track it down and after she went to knock on doors with her husband, it has been switched off.
Mandy is searching for her phone because of the great sentimental value it holds.
She said: "We went for dinner at Toni Macaroni and I went to use my phone and realised it wasn't there.
"I've put it into lost mode, phoned The Fort and the police to report it stolen but no-one has handed it in.
"I’ve been putting it out on social media to see if anyone has seen it or anything, but nothing."
Mandy says the voicemails are the only things that she cannot replace from her phone, and they are obviously priceless.
"I don't care about the phone, but I was hanging onto the voicemails from my dad" she explained.
"My dad passed away in June 2021 suddenly from heart failure. All my pictures and videos are on the cloud, but I can't get the voicemails, the last few times he left me a message. I was hanging onto them but I think they were saved to the phone rather than the memory."
" I feel scunnered and fed up. I feel a bit deflated. If you have it, please hand it in or even post it to the Fort if you don't want to be seen. It's more than just a phone to me. There's worse things in the world, but it would be nice if I could find it or hear them again."
Mandy's phone is a black iPhone 11 in a green leather case.
Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
