Lanarkshire motorists warned of disruption as road set to shut for five days

A Coatbridge road is closing for five days from Monday, April 25, for carriageway patching work.

Woodside Street will be shut between Mitchell Street and Viewfield Road.

Motorists will be able to use the latter two roads as diversions, while pedestrian access will be “permitted where practical during the closure”.

And drivers have been given an early warning that the B799 Lancaster Avenue in Chapelhall will be shutting for 10 hours from 8am on June 26.

This is for ironwork repairs and the road will close from Lammermuir Way to the A73 Bellside Road.

Alternative routes for motorists to use will include the A8 Glasgow and Edinburgh Road, the B799 Bo'ness Road and the A73 Bellside Road.
