Lanarkshire motorists urged to plan journeys ahead of two upcoming road closures

Two Monklands roads will shut for most of the day over the next couple of weeks - with motorists warned there won't be any diversions during one of the closures.

Manhole works by Scottish Water will see Airdrie’s Broompark Crescent close from 9.30am to 6pm on October 28.

The closure will be between Lochside Crescent and Ardmore Crescent and drivers are urged to plan ahead as no alternative routes will be in place, although access to vehicles and pedestrians will be “maintained where practical”.

And Lismore Drive in Coatbridge will shut from 8am to 6pm on November 4, between Graham Place and Culzean Avenue.

This is for ironwork repairs and diversions will include Cuparhead Avenue, Appin Way, Culzean Avenue Nelson Avenue.
