Lanarkshire mental health café to celebrate first year open with family day

A café which caters to help people with mental health will celebrate its first birthday in style this Sunday.

Food For Thought opened last year in Wishaw in the old Cinema building and is owned and run by Lanarkshire Association For Mental Health.

And the café wants to celebrate their birthday with a fun day for local people and families.

Funded by the Queens Jubilee Fund, the café is inviting families along for a day of fun and free activities as well as free food, drinks and cake.

Activities include a messy play area, a bouncy castle, a balloon artist, face painting, games, a wellbeing area, tombola, a raffle and more.

The doors to the event will open at 10am and it will finish at 3pm.
