Lanarkshire Mason gets top job as new Provincial Grand Master

An East Kilbride Freemason has been announced as the new Provincial Grand Master of the Province of Renfrewshire East.

For the next five years, Ronald Fraser will head a commission that will lead more than 1500 Freemasons based in 37 lodges in a province area stretching from Lochwinnoch in the west to Rutherglen in the east.

The Installation ceremony – carried out by the Grand Master Mason of Scotland, Bro. Ramsay McGhee - took place in Lodge Prince of Wales No.426, in Renfrew.

Bro. Ronald has served four terms as Master of Lodge McLaren No.1688 which meets at the Masonic Hall in Kittoch Street, East Kilbride.

Following the ceremony, the new PGM vowed to continue with the ongoing charity work that has seen Freemasons in the Province raise thousands of pounds for good causes.
