Lanarkshire man awaiting sentence after being found with blade at bus station

A man is in custody awaiting sentence after being caught with a knife at Hamilton bus station.

William McInulty, 31, appeared at the town's sheriff court this week.

He admitted illegal possession of a blade at the bus station on January 18 last year.

McInulty, of Glenavon Avenue, Rutherglen, has previous convictions for crimes involving knives.

Sheriff Colin Dunipace called for a criminal justice social work report and deferred sentence until next month.

McInulty, who had been on bail, was remanded in custody.
