A MAN, 66, has been found guilty of murder at the High Court in Glasgow. On February 18, 2023, officers responded to a report that a woman had died at an address in Hamilton Park North in Hamilton.
Walter Buchanan from Lanarkshire was arrested and charged in connection with the death of his wife, Darrell, 37, from Kenya. He will be sentenced at a later date. Detective Sergeant Ian Evans said: "There is no doubt that this is an extremely difficult and traumatic time for Darrell's family. They live each day without her and are devastated by what has happened. He is now being held responsible and I sincerely hope Darrell's family feels some sense of justice at the court outcome today. "We remain committed to fighting abuse at every level. I would encourage anyone who is sufferings at the hands of an abuser to contact us, we will support you and do everything we can to ensure the perpetrator is held to account."
