Lanarkshire kids can perfect their cycling skills during summer programme

A cycling programme is available for South Lanarkshire youngsters throughout the summer holidays.

Clyde Cycle Park is offering a four-day coaching programme for children aged between six and 12 – and it will run over the next four weeks starting this coming Monday, June 11.

The programme will offer two levels of coaching depending on ability. For children who can cycle but do not have much experience, the programme will help them develop basic skills to allow them to cycle confidently and safely.

For those more experienced children, the programme will offer advanced skills such as racing, slalom and group riding.

Coaching will be provided by experienced British Cycling coaches all with First Aid and registered with Disclosure Scotland. Bikes and helmets can be provided.

The coaching sessions will run from Mondays to Thursdays at 10am until 11am, courses will start weeks beginning June 11, June 18, June 25 and August 1.

Spaces are still open for the programme which costs £32 for the 4-day course. To register, contact clydecyclepark@gmail.com.
