"It has been a very difficult few years in education and we are grateful for the dedication of the staff here in St John Ogilvie and for the support we have received from South Lanarkshire Council and our local community.
"This year we have many reasons to celebrate the achievements of our young people, not least the amazing talent that is Eilidh Gorrell of S6.

"Eilidh not only achieved five A’s in her Higher examinations she also represented Scotland in the Commonwealth Games this summer as part of the Scottish gymnastic team. What an amazing year for Eilidh and testimony to all of her dedication and hard work.
"We also had two pupils who arrived in St John Ogilvie in October of 2021 joining our S4 cohort who went on to achieve great results in their National 5 examinations after only seven months with us with Olivia Izuogu securing all seven National 5 qualifications and Tito Bello achieving five.

"They worked extremely hard and we are very proud of their efforts to succeed."
Meanwhile, the school was keen to stress that traditional exam results are only one part of the Senior Phase of secondary education, during S4 to S6, many young people have achieved success by gaining qualifications in other areas in St John Ogilvie including SCQF level 5 Barista qualifications and SCQF level 5 bee keeping.
