Lanarkshire funeral directors run Easter egg appeal in support of EK school

A Lanarkshire funeral directors is collecting Easter eggs in support of Sanderson High School in East Kilbride.

Joseph Potts, which is part of Dignity, launched the annual Easter Egg Appeal 20 years ago to help distribute gifts to those less fortunate at this time of year.

Staff at Joseph Potts are asking local businesses, community groups and residents to donate Easter Eggs or chocolate gifts for local children that may not have been expecting to receive one.

Donations will also be made to local care homes, neighbourhood groups, primary schools and nursery schools.

Alan Mathie, funeral manager at Joseph Potts, told Lanarkshire Live : “We hope that the local community will support us and help to make Easter an easier time for the families supported by Sanderson High School.

"Dignity colleagues across the country have helped bring a smile to face of others that may not have been expecting an Easter egg and we would like to do the same in our local area.”

If you would like to donate an Easter egg, visit Joseph Potts in Bellshill which is located on North Road between 8.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
