A Rutherglen family are appealing for help in recovering their beloved bunnies that have gone missing.
Apache and Toffee went missing on the morning of Wednesday, April 27, from their garden and haven’t been seen since.
The owners of the pets are becoming increasingly worried and think they may even have been stolen from their garden.
Both five-year-old males were in their hutch the night before they went missing.
However, when owner Yvonne McClusky went to feed them the next morning, the bottom door of their hutch was open and they were gone.
Distraught Yvonne told Lanarkshire Live : “I’ve not seen anyone physically taking them, but the fact that nobody has seen them makes me think they may have been taken.
“It’s been the worst week, my daughter’s horse had an accident last week and had to be put to sleep and then this happened.
“We’ve already lost a best friend and the children can’t handle any more heartache. They’re crying for the bunnies.
“I’ve looked all over for them, but I don’t know how long the door has been open.
“If everyone could please check their gardens, sheds, or anywhere they could hide I would really appreciate it.
“We’ve put up posters, but people keep taking them down. Please don’t take the posters down, these are family pets.
“We’re hoping for a miracle.”
