Lanarkshire European nationals looking to start career in police force invited to take part in information event

European nationals living in Lanarkshire looking to begin a career in the police force are invited to get involving with an arresting event.

The region's police are holding an online information showcase next week where officers will give an insight into life in the force.

A Lanarkshire police spokesperson said: "If you are a European national living in Lanarkshire and curious about a police officer, our upcoming information event will give you a fantastic opportunity to hear from serving officers from diverse backgrounds, and their experiences as Police Officers in Scotland.

"There will also be a question-and-answer session to answer any questions you may have.

"The event will also focus on the recruitment process and the training, with a unique insight into life at the Scottish Police College.

"Police Scotland is committed to increasing diversity within its workforce, to better reflect the increasingly diverse communities we serve.

"Applications are welcome from all suitable candidates, and you can find out more online.

The information event takes place on Thursday, December 1, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm on Microsoft Teams.
