Lanarkshire Easter Fair proves a spring success

Burnhill residents enjoyed an egg-cellent Easter fair last Saturday.

There was a variety of activities available including bouncy castles, a petting zoo, and other Easter-related activities.

Organiser Elizabeth McDonald told Lanarkshire Live: “The day was a huge success. We set out to hold a free event for local families and we had so many people show up and enjoy the day.

“It was so lovely to see so many local families connecting. Hearing the kids laugh and enjoy the activities was worth all the hard work.

“We plan on running other events in the future from the High Backs, such as bingo, coffee morning, and summer activities for the kids.

“All the running and hard work was worth it.

“The volunteers and young people worked so hard to make this happen and it was all worth it to see the area being used for something positive for local people.

“It was amazing on the day just to take it in. Our vision for the space has become reality and it felt fantastic to see it all come together.”
