Lanarkshire Cross Country Championships provide medals and valuable experience for Law AAC runners

The Lanarkshire Cross Country Championships made a welcome return to the athletics circuit last month – and it allowed many Law and District Amateur Athletics runners to get their first taste of the discipline.

The event has not been held since November 2019 due to Covid and a number of Law starts travelled to Strathaven to compete in what, for some, was their first cross country event.

The weather was kind for everyone as well, making the event more enjoyable.

The results for the club were as follows: U11 girls (1000m) - Grace Quinn 16th, Jessica Large 41st

U11 boys (1000m) - Sam Clark 15th, James Keenan 16th

U13 girls (2600m) - Olivia Inglis 6th, Hannah Jamieson 20th, Sophie Nelson 21st, Holly Wilson 31st - Girls won Bronze team medals
