Lanarkshire cops to hold online event to encourage European Nationals to apply

Lanarkshire Police is holding an online recruitment event aimed at European nationals.

It will be held next Thursday, June 30, between 6.30pm and 8.30pm, via Microsoft Teams, with the aim of increasing the European population of the force.

A statement said: ‘Police Scotland is acutely aware that the diversity of our communities is increasing all the time.

"We recognise the importance of our communities being able to relate to our police officers and we are therefore actively reaching out to our European communities and encouraging you to consider a career in policing in Scotland."

During the event, attendees will learn about the recruitment process, the training, the role of a police officer and the range of opportunities that are available once you are established in the force.

For more information on the event and to reserve a space, you can email recruitmentpositiveactionteam@scotland.police.uk, you must provide your name, contact number and specify which event you wish to attend.

Requests to join Police Scotland’s can be made on the closed Facebook page at: Police Scotland Positive Action.
