Lanarkshire cops launch appeal after man left hospitalised with facial injuries

Police in Airdrie have released images of a man they wish to talk to in relation to an assault earlier this year.

The attack happened at around 1.05am on Saturday, May 21 and resulted in a 41-year-old man being hospitalised with facial injuries.

Now cops have identified a man they think could assist with their investigation.

DC Katy Goldie told Lanarkshire Live : “I would urge anyone with information relating to the man in the CCTV image to contact police as soon as possible.”

“We believe that the man shown in the images has information that may assist them and would ask anyone who recognises him to contact them.

The man pictured is described as around 5ft 10in, of medium build and between 20-30 years of age.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101.

Information can be left anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
