A Lanarkshire company has donated thousands of pounds to charity in the memory of a former employee.
Keane Premier Group, which owns several care homes, arranged a fundraising walk up Ben A’an.
Mary Thomson was an employee of the company and also aunt to the current director, Ryan Smith.
She previously worked as a health visitor in North Lanarkshire and also as a nurse for many years.
Mary came from Chapelhall and worked with City Mission for more than 15 years.
Sadly, she died suddenly and unexpectedly while at work.
The walk, which included several employees and friends of Mary, took place on Saturday, September 11, last year.
The company created a JustGiving page for donations.
Mary, who was described as a "massive part of Keane Premier Group" did a lot for Glasgow City Mission.
A spokesperson for the company stated: “Throughout her life, Mary was a huge supporter of Glasgow City Mission, a charity which helps those who are struggling with various difficult situations such as homelessness, addiction and poverty.”
“As a company, we wanted to support this amazing organisation.”
The company are now planning the walk as a annual event in memory of Mary.
Simon Corrigan, operations manager for Keane Premier Group, added: “We presented a cheque for £4690 to Glasgow City Mission.”
The company raised £2145 and doubled this with its own funds.
