Cambuslang travellers are facing potential delays due to works being made on the West Coast main line.
Network Rail engineers are set to begin making improvements from Saturday, April 30 to Monday, May 2.
The West Coast main line, which links Glasgow Central to London Euston, will see engineers renew tracks at several different locations.
Most of the services will remain unaffected by the work but due to the complexity of it, some short-term closures of the line will be made.
People travelling to and from Cambuslang may face possible delays, diverted services, or services replaced by a bus.
ScotRail recently Tweeted to remind everyone of the works, posting: “This will affect some of our normal trains. If your service normally goes through Cambuslang, Uddingston, Whifflet, or Carluke. It could be diverted or replaced by a bus.”
Liam Sumpter, Network Rail route director for Scotland, told Lanarkshire Live the improvement works planned for the May Bank Holiday were "crucial" to improving the reliability of Scotland’s Railway.
He added: “The work will help to provide a more modern railway while limiting future disruption for passengers.
“We understand the inconvenience this work will cause some customers, but such a significant programme cannot be delivered without temporary disruption.
“We would like to reassure passengers Network Rail has also reminded passengers about the ongoing works on the Argyle line, impacting services between Rutherglen and the Exhibition Centre.
“Every effort has been made to reduce the impact of our activities as much as possible and we thank you for your understanding.”
They are also urging anyone that plans to travel between April 30 - May 2 to plan ahead.
