A food bank has launched a festive appeal to gather more than 300 Christmas hampers for families in need.
East Kilbride Community Food Bank - a partnership of local churches - needs to raise £4500 to do this.
The hampers are packed with all that's needed for Christmas day and last year hampers were distributed to 278 families - 458 adults and 221 children - who would have otherwise gone without.
And with the cost of living crisis hitting hard, the appeal is needed more than ever.
Community care worker, Karen Dornan, told Lanarkshire Live : "We are already at 200 hampers ordered and they are continuing to come in.
"Especially in the current climate we have been overwhelmed already by the generosity of the community in donations and gifts and are so thankful for all of the support.
"There are many people in East Kilbride who will struggle more than ever to provide a Christmas meal for themselves or their families.
"The hampers bless those that we support throughout the year in the local community who need some extra support at Christmas time."
Hampers are packed with everything a family needs for Christmas Day dinner.
Goodies include fresh turkey, carrots, Brussel sprouts, and melon and it also include potatoes, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, Christmas pudding, Christmas cake, mince pies, chocolates, juice and much more.
Karen added: "Every year the demand for the hampers increases. It costs us approximately £15 to provide a Christmas hamper and any donation, no matter how small, helps us reach our target.
"If we exceed our target any additional money raised will be used to help towards the ongoing work of the EK Community Food Bank."
