Staff at a Lesmahagow chippy have once again pulled off another Christmas cracker of a charity video.
Pepe’s Fish and Pizza Bar have, for the third year in a row, recorded their own fun version of a festive classic, this year opting for 'Step into Pepe's', a play on Elton John's popular Step Into Christmas track, in a hilarious Gavin and Stacey-style spoof.
And their efforts are all in aid of the Beatson Cancer Centre, a specialised cancer care centre in Glasgow supporting people and their families going through cancer.
The popular eaterie, based on 14 Abbeygreen, will also be running a fundraising charity night where they will be donating money from food as well as from their Pepe’s@Home range.
Last year, their phenomenal efforts with their Shakin Steven's video 'Merry Christmas Everyone' raised £3018 for the Advertiser's Toy Appeal - meaning a bumper Christmas all round for Lanarkshire's disadvantaged families.
This year they hope to raise over £1000 for the cancer charity.
Enrico Franceschi, owner of Pepe’s, told Lanarkshire Live : "The gang at Pepe’s are always up for a laugh, and getting the chance to have some festive fun in aid of a great cause was right up our street!
"IOnce again we have been delighted with the support from our customers from across the county, as well as those in our local community, and we will continue to push for a little more in aid of the Beatson.
"Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas."
