A Celtic fan from Lanarkshire has been tragically found dead in a hotel room in Santa Ponsa after flying to Spain for a holiday with his friends.
Barry Horn, from Airdrie, had flown to Majorca last month and had planned to watch the Old Firm game with pals at the island's renowned Hoops' bars.
In a tragic turn of events, Barry, 33, was found dead in his hotel room two days before the clash on September 1.
His devastated family say they have been left in the dark over the circumstances surrounding his death, as they wait for the results of a post-mortem. His cause of death remains unknown.
Barry's heartbroken relatives are desperate to bring his body home to Scotland.
Barry's cousin, Donna Collins, 35, told Lanarkshire Live's sister paper the Daily Record : "We're still in shock. He went over for a week to meet friends and they were going to watch the Celtic v Rangers match on the Saturday.
"He was looking forward to being in the atmosphere over there and really looking forward to the holiday.
"We don't know a thing about what happened, including the circumstances before his death and the results of the post-mortem. We feel left in the dark at the moment.
"As a family, we're trying to look for answers and we are concentrating on getting him home."
A fundraiser has been launched by Barry's family to help pay for his funeral and to aid the cost of bringing his body home to Scotland, with the total currently sitting at nearly £6000.
Donna said: "We want to give him the best send-off that we can. We need to wait for the post-mortem to come through before we can move forward with plans to get him home.
"We're not coping very well. We're just desperate to bring him back."
Floods of tributes have poured in for Barry since his unexpected passing, with his family describing him as "larger than life".
Donna said: "He was a larger-than-life character and always full of laughter. He could put a smile on anyone's face and he was just full of banter.
"He absolutely adored his wee nieces and nephews. He will always be remembered as somebody who loved his family and somebody who was loved by his family.
"He will never, ever be forgotten by any of us, he was a remarkable character that you will not forget."
