Two great causes are cashing in on healthy donations from a Lanarkshire building society.
The team at Nationwide Coatbridge chose to support Alzheimer Scotland and Beatson Cancer Charity with its fundraising initiatives for this year.
And thus far, the kind-hearted number-crunchers have collected a combined £1500 for the two charities in 2022.
A spokeswoman for Nationwide Coatbridge told Lanarkshire Live : "We continue to support Alzheimer Scotland with a book sale in the branch and so far this year we have raised a massive £200.44.
"Members and staff donate old books and they are then sold on for 50p. All donations from customers will be greatly accepted.
"For the Beatson Cancer Charity, we have held hampers and our members were very generous with this initiative during the Christmas and Easter periods.
"Also, as a team, we took part in the Kiltwalk by completing 13.2 miles round Drumpellier Loch in Coatbridge, which was a very fun and successful day.
"Our total for Beatson this year is currently sitting at £1356.
"We will continue to support these charities and, as a result, the wonderful work they do throughout the year and would like to thank our family, friends and members for all of their support and generosity."
