A thug who brutally attacked his partner over claims he was cheating is facing jail.
Derek Bonini, 42, launched an 18 minute assault on Brian Foster in his flat in Bellshill.
The victim had fallen asleep but woke to find Bonini trawling through his mobile phone before accusing him of being unfaithful and searching adult websites.

Shocking footage from a 'dog camera' in the living room showed raging Bonini repeatedly punch and kick Mr Foster before he picked up a bowl and smashed it over his head.
A desperate Mr Foster could be seen trying to smash windows of the flat to escape after being unable to flee through the locked door.
The incident only ended when police burst into the flat.
Mr Foster was taken to hospital and treated for a 7.5cm laceration to his ear and scalp as well as cuts and bruises while pieces of porcelain from the bowl also had to be removed from his face.
Bonini appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court today and admitted the assault in June 2021.
He also pled guilty to three other assaults on Mr Foster between March and June 2021.
Depute fiscal Jennifer Cunningham told the court: "The accused and the complainer were in a relationship which started in December 2020 but it is understood that the relationship became difficult and arguments would often happen about Brian Foster cheating on him.
"The accused and the complainer were in the accused's house drinking alcohol when the complainer fell asleep and woke up to find the accused going through his mobile phone.
"The accused became aggressive and shouted that the complainer was cheating on him and for him to leave his house.
"He then began to assault the complainer by slapping, punching, kicking and pushing him and attempted to hit him with a bottle.
"At one point during the assault he struck the complainer on the left hand side of the face with a bowl which was being used as an ashtray.
"During this incident the complainer attempted to leave but was unable to do so."
The prosecutor added: "Brian Foster has been left with scarring on his head and his ear.
"He has lost his hair due to the stress and has trust issues, is fearful of bumping into the accused and states he is no longer the same person he was before the relationship."
The court heard police had previously been called in after the other incidents, but Bonini was only arrested and charged following the last attack.
Sheriff Colin Dunipace deferred sentence on Bonini until next month for reports and continued bail.
He warned: "With some hesitation I'm going to continue your bail but be under no illusion whatsoever that the court will treat this matter extremely seriously."
