A cosy Lanarkshire pub has gone from a full lockdown revamp and new ownership, to being named a finalist for a prestigious award.
It was only last year when a trio of local couples took over the Chapelton Inn, with their hard work already paying off.
And now they've found themselves up for Scotland's Best Pub at the Scottish Entertainment Awards.
Punters have until the end of the month to get behind the Lanarkshire establishment with voting open online now.
The pub has already received a visit from Molson Coors, the company running the 2022 Scottish Entertainment and Hospitality Awards.
One of the Chapelton Inn's owners Helen Cuthbertson, pictured, was there on the day and is looking forward to the next stage.
She told Lanarkshire Live : "It totally took us by surprise. Somebody has nominated us and we found out on a Facebook post that we've been put forward.
"It was last April we first opened and it's obviously been a difficult year with Covid but the local support has been tremendous.
"We had a great summer, our big area in the front was very well used with the good weather. And our function suite is now getting a lot of bookings.
"It's been good up to now."
Once the voting for finalists is complete, candidates will receive a mystery shopper visit before telling a panel the story behind their establishment. And a grand final ceremony will take place at a later date.
One of the big changes the Chapelton Inn made last year was transforming their 80-capacity function suite in order to hold more parties as well as feature live music where they now welcome lots of local bands to entertain their guests.
The community pub has been terrific for nearby residents with weekly pub quizzes, and soon there will be a new pool table which will feature in an outdoor-heated area.
The boozer being recognised with a top award would mean a great deal to the owners personally.
Helen and husband Willie who live nearby in the village have frequented the Chapelton Inn for over two decades and are very proud to where they've got it now.
Helen added: "It would be amazing. It's been myself and Willie's local all our married life for 25 years.
"We've seen a few different owners go through it, but now that we own it and done it up it would really be amazing, and great to see it recognised.
"We feel what we've done with the pub is tidied it up from the outside, it was getting rundown outside which has tidied up the village, and locals have commented saying it's nice to look at now."
The Chapelton Inn face stiff competition as Glasgow's Lebowskis and The Parlour up for awards.
