Drivers travelling in Lanarkshire today should be aware of a road closure on a back road to East Kilbride.
Newhousemill Road is closed between Calderside Road, Hamilton and Lismore, East Kilbride from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Thursday, February 17 for BT repairs. Newhousemill Road Bridge will also be closed to traffic.
Diversions will be in place at A726 Strathaven Road, A725 Kingsway, A725 Expressway, B7012, Douglas Street, Sydes Brae (Blantyre), Parkneuk Road and Newhousemill Road.
Elsewhere in East Kilbride, Markethill Road is currently closed between Dalrymple Drive and Carrick Road till 11.59pm tomorrow (Friday, February 18) for Scottish Gas apparatus installation. Diversions are in place via Old Coach Road, Bosfield Road and Carrick Road.
Newlands Road remains closed between Jackton Road and No 68 Newlands Road until March 2022 for the upgrading/reconstruction and installation of public utility apparatus on Newlands Road associated with the Community Growth Area.
Access to residential properties will be maintained at all times from one direction. Diversions via Jackton Road, Eaglesham Road, Greenhills Road, Newlands Road and vice versa.
