A support service for parents and families affected by autism will relaunch in Strathaven this week.
The drop-in advice and support service for the autism community is to reopen as Covid restrictions relax.
It will be held on Thursday evenings from 7-9pm at the Yes Hub in Strathaven's Townhead Street, beginning this week, on March 24.
Organiser, Barbara Kennedy, said: "I am a teacher working in ELC/primary/secondary schools supporting autistic pupils and their families.
"The weekly drop-in sessions will provide advice, offer strategies and help to generate a more inclusive environment.
"I believe that autism is just a different way of thinking, perceiving and experiencing life, so raising awareness and acceptance can lead to creating a more fulfilled and harmonious lifestyle for autistic people and their families.
"I was very encouraged with the response when the group originally set up and I’m hoping to reconnect with some familiar faces and welcome new ones.”
