Lana Del Rey and Jeremy Dufrene have officially tied the knot in a ceremony that took place in Des Allemands, Louisiana last month. The marriage license was signed and returned to the Lafourche Parish Clerk of Court, where it was filed on Friday.
The officiant for the wedding was Los Angeles pastor Judah Smith, known for his association with Justin Bieber. Interestingly, Smith is credited as a co-writer on the fifth track of Del Rey's 2023 album, titled “Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd,” which features a song called “Judah Smith Interlude.”
Rumors about Del Rey and Dufrene's relationship had been circulating for a few weeks before their marriage license was confirmed. The couple obtained the license on September 23, with the wedding taking place on September 26 in the bayou where Dufrene works as a captain at Airboat Tours by Arthur in Des Allemands, Louisiana.
Both Del Rey, 39, and Dufrene, 49, listed their residence as Des Allemands, an unincorporated community in St. Charles Parish. While the exact start of their relationship remains unclear, photos of the couple together date back to 2019 when Del Rey took one of Dufrene's swamp tours.
Lana Del Rey, an 11-time Grammy nominated artist, is renowned for her nostalgic and romantic pop music that often draws inspiration from vintage Americana. With nine studio albums under her belt, she is best known for hits like “Summertime Sadness” from her multiplatinum 2012 album, “Born to Die.”
Representatives for Del Rey did not confirm the marriage when initially contacted last month and have not responded to recent requests for comment.
