Lana Del Rey fans leave in disgust after singer runs late for Glastonbury performance

Glastonbury punters have been left disgruntled after popstar Lana Del Rey began her highly anticipated set 30 minutes late. Witnesses at the Other Stage, where her set was due to take place, report some fans left the stage before her set began saying "she's too late".

The Young And Beautiful singer was expected to take to the stage at 10.30pm as the final performer of the night. Crowds at the alternative main stage grew restless as the US singer kept them waiting, with chants of "we want Lana" ringing through the field.

The delay came after reports that the Born To Die singer was not impressed that she was not initially billed as the main act on the stage for Saturday on the first line-up poster. Fans took to social media to complain of the wait time.

One said: "Lana Del Rey being half an hour late to her Glasto set is pretty upsetting. Restless legs and a crowd ready for her. Shame."

Another added: "Lana Del Rey being 15 mins late (and counting) is so on brand I can’t be mad." A third added: "She be late, but then she wouldn't be Lana del Rey to be on time."

The popstar did eventually take to the stage around 11pm, 30 minutes after the set was expected to take place. One tweeter forgave the Blue Jeans singer for the delays, since she came out in style.

They said: "The fact Lana Del Rey is coming on to a Moulin Rouge soundtrack makes everything better. All is forgiven for the 30 min wait!!"

Del Rey wore a black outfit as she walked onto stage before removing it reveal a white dress covered in religious patterns. She also wore a diamond headpiece.

After performing Cherry, she told the crowd: "Thank you so much, I’m so happy to be here."
