Lamont Marcell Jacobs, the reigning champion, clocked an impressive time of 9.92 seconds in his race, narrowly edging out American Kenneth Bednarek. However, despite his strong performance, Jacobs now faces an uncertain wait to see if he will advance to the finals.

The top finishers in each semifinal, along with the next two fastest runners, will secure a spot in the final field of eight.
