The Ravens received some good news on Saturday. The reigning MVP, Lamar Jackson, returned to practice after missing four of the first five training camp sessions with Flu-like symptoms.
The Baltimore Sun reports that Jackson had previously met with doctors and undergone tests after he was forced to exit practice No. 4 with an undisclosed illness.
“He’s fighting through an illness, working with our doctors, doing all the tests, even more tests, to make sure we have everything covered,” coach John Harbaugh said Friday as the team returned to the field in Owings Mills after a day off Thursday. “I’m confident he’ll be back pretty soon. It’s just an unpredictable deal.”
Jackson received care from the Ravens’ medical team, and the assumption was that he could miss a few more days, but the star quarterback returned and brought energy to the team with his arrival.

Josh Johnson, Baltimore’s 38-year-old backup, has been filling in for Jackson with the first-team offense, while rookies Devin Leary and Emory Jones received added repetitions.
