Following the Baltimore Ravens dominant 28-14 wildcard win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, Lamar Jackson was asked to describe what it is like to watch Derrick Henry run the ball. Jackson thought for a split second and came up with a brilliant comparison.
What Lamar Jackson Said About Derrick Henry
Jackson said it was like watching a movie clip, comparable to Lightning McQueen from Disney’s animated Cars movie series. He then added that some might be too young to know the series which debuted in 2006. Jackson mentioned he watched it as a kid.

Derrick Henry’s ability to bounce off defenders and keep running ahead is reminiscent of Lightning McQueen bouncing off cars on the track. It is hilarious and true.
Jackson also said he is happy to be on the same side of the field and team as Henry, acknowledging how difficult he is to defend and tackle.

The Derrick Henry stiff-arm is legendary and was on display in the win. His latest victim was Minkah Fitzpatrick. His signing with the Ravens, after eight seasons with the Tennesse Titans, could be the best free agent signing of the 2024-2025 season. Henry had 16 touchdown runs and 1,921 yards rushing during the regular season.
Is This The Best Ravens Team In Recent Years?
It remains to be seen if this Ravens team can compete with the perennial favorites, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills, for the AFC Championship. However, Jackson has plenty of offensive help on this team beyond Derrick Henry.
Wide receiver Zay Flowers has a knee injury and did not play against the Steelers. He reportedly has an outside chance of playing next week.
