Lamar Jackson gives Ravens’ pass catchers a vote of confidence ahead of matchup vs. Titans

The Ravens suffered a miserable 17-10 loss to the Steelers in Week 5, and six drops by Baltimore receivers ruined a potential breakout performance for quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Jackson’s struggles against Pittsburgh continued as he completed 22 of 38 passes for 236 yards and rushed six times for 45 yards.

The Ravens’ star signal-caller could have had 300+ yards if not for two drops by rookie Zay Flowers, along with one drop apiece from Mark Andrews, Nelson Agholor, and Rashod Bateman.

On Wednesday in London, Jackson took steps to uplift his pass catchers, giving Ravens receivers a vote of confidence via Jamison Hensley of ESPN.

“I believe our guys are locked in right now,” Jackson said after Wednesday’s practice at the Tottenham Hotspur training ground. “They are going to be better. So will I.”

Baltimore’s five drops were the most in an NFL game since Week 13 of last season and the most by a Ravens team since 2021.

Jackson had decisive moments, but down the stretch, the quarterback had a pass picked off in the end zone with 4:10 remaining after the Ravens caused a Steelers turnover on special teams.

Baltimore had a 45-minute team meeting on Tuesday that focused on erasing the errors for a team that should be 5-0 on the season.
