Lamar Jackson believes Ravens offense is ‘taking steps in the right direction’

The Baltimore Ravens had an incredible season in 2023. A significant catalyst for the team’s performance was its offense, which dominated repeatedly despite some inconsistency earlier in the year.

When asked about his offensive in general, Baltimore quarterback Lamar Jackson expressed his confidence that everything is going according to plan. He talked about how the unit is taking steps in the right direction, but he won’t tell much until the pads come on at training camp.

“I believe our offense is taking steps in the right direction right now. We can’t really … We don’t really know who the guys are going to be right now. We’re not in camp. We’re not close to the first game or anything like that. But right now, I feel like we’re taking steps in the right direction. Guys are moving good, running great routes, catching the ball, blocking good. We look pretty smooth, but I can’t tell until we’re in pads.”

The Ravens wrapped up voluntary organized team activities and mandatory minicamp and are now waiting for training camp to begin. The team will be entering Year 2 of Todd Monken’s offense and would benefit from a fast start from everybody on the unit, including Jackson himself.
