Lala Kent reveals she had her placenta encapsulated in pill form after giving birth to her second baby.
In a recent post to her Instagram Stories, the 34-year-old Vanderpump Rules star shared a photo of a pill bottle, informing her followers that each capsule contained her placenta. In the image’s overlaid text, she explained why she opted to have her placenta in pill form.
“I’ve spoken about encapsulating my placenta after I gave birth to Ocean,” Kent referenced her 3-year-old daughter. “I felt it helped me adjust into postpartum, and leveled my overall mood.”
“I did it again with Sosa, and I’m having the exact same experience,” she continued, tagging the brand she used. “This isn’t to open the ‘do it — don’t do it’ conversation. It’s simply to share my personal thoughts and experiences.”
Kent shared a series of snaps to her Instagram Stories earlier in the week that chronicled her daughter Ocean’s first reaction to meeting her baby sister Sosa, which was heartwarming to watch. The series began with a black screen reading: “Ocean’s selfies after meeting Sosa...”
Ocean celebrated the new addition to her family with some hilarious selfies. Posting four of them on her story, Lala’s older daughter could be seen in the corner of the screen looking down and blinking, before the final snap, in which Ocean excitedly made a funny little face at the camera.
“For real though, Ocean is absolutely obsessed with Sosa,” Kent wrote another black screen on her Stories. “It was love at first sight.”
She continued, “We are all over the moon about the newest addition to our pod. I can’t wait to share all the moments of this new chapter and blessing in our life.”
“I’ve been enjoying every second. Lots of skin to skin, lots of boobie time, lots of staring & thanking God,” the reality TV star added.
Kent first shared the news of the latest addition to her family on 3 September, announcing on her Instagram Stories the exciting news.
“Welcome into the world, my love,” the mother of two wrote over the photo along with the date “9.3.24” in the bottom right corner.
However, Kent didn’t reveal the baby’s name until 9 September, sharing an Instagram post with a black-and-white photo of her baby’s feet, curled up on a fuzzy blanket. She sweetly captioned the photo with a white heart emoji, writing her second daughter’s name: “Sosa Kent.”
