Lakers Sign Forward One Day After He Put Up Absurd 23-Point, 33-Rebound Game

The Los Angeles Lakers have agreed to a two-way contract with G League wing Dylan Windler, according to a report from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The signing of Windler comes one day after he scored 23 points and grabbed a G League record 33 rebounds for the Westchester Knicks.

This will be Windler’s third NBA team in his four seasons in the league, as he previously played with the Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks.

The 27-year-old has played 87 career games in the NBA, posting 3.2 points and 2.3 rebounds per game in 11.7 minutes per contest across his four seasons.

Windler, formerly of New York, will look to make an impact with the Lakers after he put up wild numbers for the G League.

The signing comes at a time where the Lakers continue to look for answers amid an unexpected slide. Los Angeles has lost four straight games and eight out of 10 to fall to 17–19 on the season, which is good for 11th in the West.

The Lakers host the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday.
