When the Los Angeles Lakers signed undrafted rookie Austin Reaves last summer to a two-way contract, not much was expected of him at the NBA level.
But after looking good in summer league play, Reaves was called up to the big leagues and he proved he was more than what people expected.
Starting on opening night, Reaves proved he was not only a viable role player, but also that he had plenty of potential.
On a roster that was full of over-the-hill has-beens, Reaves was one of the few bright spots, and he has provided the team and its fans with a bit of hope for the immediate future.
