Veteran guard Goran Dragic is signing with the Brooklyn Nets, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic, so the Los Angeles Lakers will not be landing him.
Los Angeles was named a suitor for Dragic after the 35-year-old guard agreed to a buyout with the San Antonio Spurs after the Toronto Raptors traded him.
Dragic was part of the trade that brought Kyle Lowry to the Miami Heat, but Dragic played just five games with Toronto and a departure was inevitable.
The Lakers have now lost out on Dragic and Tristan Thompson, who is slated to sign with the Chicago Bulls.
