Austin Reaves, who signed a four-year, $56 million contract to remain with the Lakers earlier this month, recently addressed an off-court rumor that has been swirling on social media.
Reaves, 25, has been rumored to be dating pop sensation Taylor Swift. But he put that rumor to rest during an appearance on Thursday’s edition of the “All The Smoke“ podcast with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson.
“I have never met her, never talked to her,” Reaves said. “All bulls---,” said Reaves. “They said we were in a bar in Arkansas. That’s crazy. … It’s not true.”

After Swift broke up with her most recent beau, Matty Healy, the rumors of dating Reaves went viral, but the sharp-shooting guard dismissed the speculation.
Jackson went on to ask if Reaves was potentially “interested” in dating Swift.
“I would stay out of the media,” Reaves said with a laugh.
This past postseason, Reaves averaged 16.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.6 assists over 16 games. Those numbers marked an increase from his averages of 13.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game during the 2022-23 regular season.
