This is where Phoebe Dynevor is staying on her Australia trip

The Ton is abuzz because actress Phoebe Dynevor, a major star since the first season of Bridgerton, is in Australia. She took to Instagram to share that she’s “living the Aussie dream”, snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef and letting her hair down in tropical North Queensland. The “magical” place Phoebe is staying at is Silky Oaks Lodge, located in the oldest rainforest in the world. She appears to be travelling with her fiancé, producer Cameron Fuller. This author had her pen ready to record all of their romantic activities.

Set in the cool calm of the Daintree, with the Mossman River below and leafy canopy overhead, Phoebe’s hotel of choice, Silky Oaks Lodge, is fit for a duchess (albeit a fictional one). It has all the trimmings one raised in a Featherington household would expect, while also being in touch with nature.

One should know that Phoebe dined at the Treehouse Restaurant, just the place for an evening with one’s fiancé. It’s believed Phoebe and Cameron have been dating since early 2023 and news of their engagement was confirmed when she wore an engagement ring to the 2024 Met Gala. I’ll have it known that Lady Whistledown was the first to spot the sparkler.

Silky Oaks Lodge is quite the locale for those in the fashion world (Phoebe has been an ambassador for Louis Vuitton over the past couple of years). Australian media personality Laura Brown, who was the long-time editor of InStyle US magazine, commented on Phoebe’s post that she’d stayed there previously.

This author has been reliably informed that there are multiple room options, with the most luxurious being the Daintree Pavilion. This has two bedrooms, a lounging atrium with infinity pool, stocked bar and wrap-around rainforest views.

Gentle reader, before you set the comments alight with questions about the figures required to rest your head at such a place, I can disclose that the Daintree Pavilion starts at $5400 per night. Guests can also indulge at the hotel’s spa or practise yoga with views out to the trees.

Both Phoebe and Cameron appear to have enjoyed their time immensely, dipping their toes into the river and exploring the nearby reef.

Phoebe was acquainted with some Australian wildlife during her stay, including a koala, wallabies and what seemed to be a crocodile, up close and personal. Quite the time was had by all.

I do so hope Phoebe continues to enjoy her time in Australia.

Yours truly,

Lady Whistledown
