Lady Kitty Spencer is "incredibly proud" of her cousin Prince William for his efforts to support the "vital work" of the Centrepoint homeless charity.
The 34-year-old aristocrat - whose father is the late Princess Diana's brother Earl Charles Spencer – has heaped praise on the Prince of Wales for all he does to continue advocating for the non-profit which his mother was a patron of.
She told Tatler magazine of Diana: “I think she put the name out there. Centrepoint has been a cherished charity that my family and I have supported for many years.”
Kitty added: “I’m extremely proud of my cousin Prince William for all he does and continues to do to support Centrepoint and the vital work they provide to homeless young people.”
William, 42, recently declared that he wants to be a "disrupter" in the fight against homelessness.
The royal visited Newport, South Wales, in November as part of his Homewards initiative - which aims to end homelessness by 2028 in six pilot areas - and urged business leaders and charity representatives to throw off the "shackles" of their experiences and look for different approaches.
He was quoted by the Daily Telegraph newspaper as saying: “I say that not to belittle you. But it, how do we break it down, gives you the freedom to think differently and try new things?
“I can be the slight disruptor here and say to you all to think very differently, outside the box, because this is unique, what you’re doing… let’s be really ambitious and almost throw the paperwork up in the air and see how it lands.”
Over Christmas, William spread some festive cheer by serving Christmas lunch at a homeless shelter in London.
The future king donned an apron to volunteer at a facility run by The Passage charity which he first visited with Diana in 1993 with the royal being seen spooning carrots and parsnips onto plates and chatting with attendees.
In a video posted on the royal's Instagram account, he was seen listening to attendees' stories and talking to fellow volunteers.
The caption read: "A pleasure to be back serving Christmas lunch at @passagecharity.
"Thank you to Claudette and the incredible volunteers who dedicate their time to supporting those experiencing homelessness. The selflessness and compassion shown in creating a warm and welcoming space during the festive season makes a profound difference."
