Lady Gaga’s Mic Malfunctioned In Coachella Set But She Played It Off Like A Queen

While headlining for Weekend 2 of Coachella, Lady Gaga experienced a technical mishap on Friday night when her microphone cut out while singing “Abracadabra”.

In a clip posted to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) the pop star is seen singing the first verse song off her newest album, Mayhem, while her headset microphone cuts in and out.

While she’s decked out in an iconic giant red dress housing her backup dancers in typical Gaga fashion, of course.

The star is shown maintaining a calm and collected appearance throughout the technical difficulties, before grabbing onto a handheld microphone and continuing to sing.

Later during the night, Mother Monster addressed the audience and discussed the previous audio difficulties that occurred during the beginning of her set.

“I’m sorry my mic was broken for a second,” Gaga said.

“At least now you know I sing live!

“I guess, all we can do is our best, right? I’m definitely giving you my best tonight.

“I love you so much.”

Netizens were quick to compliment the star on her professionalism during the ordeal, with many Reddit users describing her composure as “amazing”.

“The fact that ‘singing live’ is a flex now says everything about the state of pop music today,” wrote one user.

The event was Gaga’s second appearance at Coachella this year, and is the second time she has headlined for the event since 2017 when she filled in for Beyoncé Knowles

Gaga will also perform back on our shores later this year in December, marking the star’s first appearance back Down Under since 2014. About bloody time!!
