Lady Gaga is known for many things, including her iconic 2017 Super Bowl LI Halftime Show, her starring role in "A Star Is Born" and her 13 Grammy Awards.
But at home, she just wants to be known as Stefani.

Real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, Lady Gaga goes by a stage name and is known for shrouding her identity in shapeshifting costumes. And while she's larger than life onstage, in her personal life, Gaga just wants a little privacy.
That's according to celebrity real estate agent and The Agency CEO Mauricio Umansky, who sold Gaga her home in 2014. He just published a memoir called "The Dealmaker."
In an interview with FOX Business, Umansky details being backstage at a Gaga concert and informally doing a deal together.
"Lady Gaga came in, and she was just charismatic and beautiful and amazing as [she] always is, and she came in and like, directly focused kind of on me quickly. She goes, 'Mauricio, I know you sell real estate. I've never really bought anything and I really want to get something,'" he said.
"She started describing [to] me what she wanted," he said. "She wanted a place that had a house for her animals and her horses and her chickens and paparazzi proof, whatever that means. So, I'm just listening and as she's telling me, I literally said to her, ‘You know, I can only think of one house that suits your criteria.’"
Paparazzi proof can mean a lot of things, but as her biggest (and most difficult) stipulation, Umansky took it to mean private. Very private.
The following day, Gaga flew to Los Angeles to meet Umansky at the Malibu home he had in mind -- and purchased it for $23 million.
Lady Gaga's Malibu Home Is Spectacular
According to the LA Times, which covered the initial sale in 2014, the oceanfront home is on six acres of land and includes:
- Five bedrooms
- 12 bathrooms
- A home gym
- Elevator
- Wet bar
- 800 bottle-capacity wine cellar
- Eight stall horse stables, complete with a dressage ring
- Two-lane bowling alley
- Home theater
- A saltwater pool
- Guest cottage
The home is described as "Mediterranean style," and was built in 2005. Gaga bought the mansion from the founder of Warner Bros. consumer products division, Dan Romanelli, who bought the property in 2000 for $2 million. Talk about a nice markup.
