Nottingham social media star LadBay has come up with the "sleeping in a heatwave" hack that has gone viral. But the trick he uses was originally designed for dogs.
We may currently have a little respite from the extreme heat but the Nottingham character, who has had a string of Christmas number ones, is ready for the next wave. Buying a £15 product from his local B&M store, LadBaby, real name Mark Hoyle, shared his tip.
The hack, which has been posted on social media channels including TikTok and Instagram, has now been reposted by B&M, reports the Mirror. The TikTok post received hundreds of thousands of links and a string of comments.

The clip begins with the social media star getting out of his car and heading across to his local B&M, saying: "I'll be back with an epic HACK! Absolute genius I'm telling ya mate." He gushed: "This is your bedroom heat summer hack mate - it's happening!"
The video soon cut to his return and we see Mark rushing across the car park holding the iconic orange and blue carrier bag. It is then on to the big reveal.
Back home, he's seen opening the door to a bedroom. "Welcome to the chill max 3000", he says. The blue patterned cooling items were placed on top of the bed sheets - but underneath the covers - ready to be slept on.
"You put them in the bed like this," he demonstrated as he pulled back the covers. "You get in like this..." The TikTok star looked content and prepped for his cool night of sleep with his new unique purchase.
His partner even joked that the product looks like a "pool float". After clarifying that the product was indeed meant for dogs - it was no laughing matter when she tried the game-changing product. The social star joked: "If it's good enough for dogs, it's good enough for me and you babe!" "No, this is genius!" LadBaby Mum gushed as she tried the product.
Users took to the comment section to share their thoughts on the alternative hack - and in a shocking turn of events, some users have even claimed that they've been using the hack for "years". One commented: "They are brilliant They work for me because I get too hot at night and it cools me down I get a good night's sleep and night time and thank you."
"That’s actually genius," a second user penned. B&M responded: "Agreed!! "I’ve done it for years and it’s the best thing ever," another user added. The comments continued: "Had them for a couple of years now. you can also get ones for the pillow as well."
